Left Right Center Dice Game
Left Right Center is the fast, noisy party dice game where tokens fly around the table. Roll, pass tokens to your left, your right or into the middle, and hope you are the last one still holding any. Here you play against friendly computer players — tokens are just for fun.
How to play Left Right Center Dice Game
- Everyone starts with 3 tokens. Players take turns clockwise, starting with you.
- On your turn, roll one die for each token you hold, up to a maximum of three dice.
- For every L, pass one token to the player on your left (the next player). For every R, pass one to the player on your right. For every C, put one token in the centre, where it stays. A dot means you keep that token.
- If you run out of tokens you are not out: you skip your turns, but a neighbour may pass tokens back to you.
- The game ends when only one player still holds tokens. That player wins and collects the centre pile.
Controls
- Tap Roll or press Space, Enter or R.
- The computer players roll by themselves; choose Fast to speed them up.
Tips
- There are no decisions to make — Left Right Center is pure luck, which is why it suits mixed ages and big groups.
- Each die has one L, one C, one R and three dots, so on average you keep half your tokens each roll.
- Holding fewer tokens means rolling fewer dice, so a player with one token is surprisingly hard to knock out.
FAQ
What are the rules for Left Right Center?
Each player starts with three tokens. Roll one die per token (up to three). L passes a token left, R passes one right, C puts one in the centre and a dot keeps it. The last player with tokens wins.
How many dice do you roll in Left Right Center?
One die for each token you have, up to three. With five tokens you still roll three dice; with one token you roll one; with none you skip your turn.
What happens when you have no tokens left?
You stay in the game. You skip your turn while you have nothing, but if a neighbour rolls an L or R towards you, you get a token back and play again.
How does the left/center/right dice game end?
As soon as only one player holds any tokens, that player is the winner and takes the centre pile. Tokens in the centre never come back into play.
How many people can play?
The classic game suits three or more players. Here you can play with three to six seats, filled by you and computer players.
Is this a gambling game?
Not here. Tokens are only game pieces with no value, so you play purely for fun and bragging rights.
