Dino Runner — Dinosaur Game
A cheerful little dinosaur game for any spare minute. Your dino sprints across the desert on its own — you hop the cacti, duck the swooping birds and see how far it gets as day turns to night.
How to play Dino Runner
- Your dinosaur runs by itself and keeps speeding up. You only have two moves: jump and duck.
- Jump over cacti. Wide clumps of cacti need a jump timed a little earlier.
- Birds fly at three heights: a low bird skimming the sand must be jumped, a bird at head height is easiest to duck under, and a high bird passes overhead as long as you stay on the ground.
- Every 10 metres is one point. Touching a cactus or a bird ends the run.
- Day slowly turns to night and back again as the distance grows — the course keeps going for as long as you do.
Controls
- Tap, swipe up, Space, ↑ or W — jump
- Swipe down, ↓ or S — duck (hold to keep ducking)
- Duck in mid-air to drop back to the ground quickly
- P or Esc — pause
Tips
- Jump a moment before a cactus, not when you are touching it — every jump is the same height.
- Don’t jump just in case: a high bird will catch a dino that leaves the ground at the wrong time.
- If you jumped too early, press down to dive back to the sand and get ready for the next obstacle.
FAQ
Is this dinosaur game free?
Yes. Dino Runner is completely free with no sign-up and nothing to buy. Your best score is saved on your device.
Can I play this dinosaur game offline?
Yes. The whole game is a single small page with no downloads during play, so once it has loaded it keeps running even if your connection drops. Bookmark it to come back any time.
How do I deal with the birds?
Look at their height. Jump the low ones, duck under the ones at head height and simply keep running under the high ones.
Does it get faster?
Yes. The pace climbs steadily for the first minute or so, and the gaps between obstacles grow with it, so there is always room to land and react.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Tap to jump and swipe down to duck. On a computer, use Space or the arrow keys.
