Brick Smash — Brick Breaker Game
Keep the ball in play with your paddle and break every brick on the board. Where the ball lands on the paddle decides its angle, so you can steer your shots into the gaps. It is a free brick breaker game that runs in any browser.
How to play Brick Smash
- Launch the ball, then move the paddle to keep it from falling past the bottom.
- Hitting the ball near the middle of the paddle sends it almost straight up; near the ends sends it off at a steep angle.
- Plain bricks break in one hit. Bricks with dots need one hit per dot. Dark riveted steel blocks never break, so play around them.
- Some bricks drop a power-up capsule. Catch it with the paddle: ↔ Wide paddle, ••• Multi-ball, ◷ Slow ball or a rare ♥ extra life.
- Clear all breakable bricks to finish a level. You have three lives; losing the last ball costs one.
- The ball speeds up a little with every paddle hit, and each new level starts a bit faster.
Controls
- Touch: drag anywhere — the paddle follows your finger’s movement, so your hand never covers it. Tap to launch.
- Mouse: move to steer, click to launch.
- Keyboard: Left/Right or A/D to move, Space or Up to launch, P or Esc to pause.
Tips
- Get the ball above the bricks and let it bounce around up there; that clears rows fastest.
- Multi-ball is the best time to take risks. Slow ball is the best time to line up tricky angles.
- Steel blocks act like walls. Use them to bank the ball into hidden pockets.
