Knife Throw Game
A one-tap timing game in the knife hit style. A wooden log spins at the top of the screen; tap to throw, land every knife in a gap, and split the log to reach the next stage. Every fifth log is a boss that swings back and forth.
How to play Knife Throw Game
- Tap, click or press Space to throw the knife at the bottom of the screen straight up into the spinning log.
- The knife sticks where it lands and spins with the log. If a new knife hits a knife that is already in the log, it bounces off and the run is over.
- Throw all the knives shown at the bottom left to split the log and clear the stage. Some logs start with knives already in them.
- Stars sit on the edge of some logs. Land a knife right under a star to collect it for 3 bonus points.
- Every knife scores 1 point. Clearing a log adds 2 points, and every fifth log is a boss worth 10, with extra knives and a log that speeds up, slows down or swings back and forth.
- Choose Relaxed for a slower log and more room between knives, or Expert for faster spins and tighter gaps.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: tap or click anywhere to throw.
- Keyboard: Space or Enter throws. P or Esc pauses.
Tips
- Throw at a steady rhythm on a steadily spinning log: equal timing gives evenly spaced knives.
- Watch the gap, not the knife. Throw as the widest open stretch of wood comes round to the bottom.
- On swinging logs, wait for the moment the log slows down to change direction, it is the easiest time to aim.
- Stars are worth chasing only when the space under them is clear.
FAQ
How do you play the knife throwing game?
Tap to throw a knife into the spinning log. Each knife stays where it lands. Throw every knife without hitting one that is already there to split the log and move on to the next stage.
Is this the same as a knife hit game?
It plays in the same style: one tap throws, the target spins, and touching another knife ends the run. The logs, patterns, stars and boss stages here are our own design.
How does scoring work?
Each knife that sticks scores 1 point, a star adds 3 more, a cleared log adds 2 and a boss log adds 10.
What changes on boss logs?
Every fifth stage is a darker boss log with two extra knives. It speeds up and slows down, and later bosses swing back and forth.
Is my progress saved?
Yes. Your run is saved at the start of each stage, so if you reload the page you continue from the stage you reached.
