Flag & Capitals Quiz
Test your world knowledge with three quiz types — capitals to countries, countries to capitals, and flags — covering every UN member state plus a few more.
How to play Flag & Capitals Quiz
- Choose a quiz type: Capital → Country, Country → Capital, or Flag → Country.
- Pick multiple choice (four options) or type the answer yourself.
- Filter by region — Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe or Oceania — or play the whole world.
- Play a round of 10 or 20 questions, or every country in the region. Your best score for each setup is saved.
- At the end, review the ones you missed and retry just those.
Controls
- Tap or click an answer, or press 1–4 on a keyboard.
- In type-in mode, type your answer and press Enter to check it.
- Press Enter (or tap Next question) to move on.
Tips
- Start with one region and multiple choice, then switch to type-in once the names feel familiar.
- Use Retry missed after each round — repetition is the fastest way to lock in tricky capitals.
- Some countries have more than one capital (Bolivia, South Africa, Malaysia…). Any of them counts when you type.
FAQ
Which countries are included?
All 193 UN member states, plus Vatican City, Palestine, Kosovo and Taiwan for geography practice.
How strict is type-in mode?
It is forgiving: capital letters, accents and punctuation do not matter, common short names like "USA", "UK" or "Ivory Coast" are accepted, and a small typo in a longer name still counts as long as it is not the name of a different place.
Why are some flags missing from flag mode?
Every flag is drawn with simple shapes. Flags with detailed seals, coats of arms or lettering are left out rather than shown inaccurately.
