FAQ
How many countries are in the Europe map quiz?
Forty-seven: the 44 countries usually counted as European, plus Kosovo, Cyprus and Turkey, which most European map quizzes include. Russia and Turkey appear with the part of their territory that fits on the map.
Which countries in Europe are hardest to find?
Most players miss the micro-states (Liechtenstein, San Marino, Andorra, Monaco, Vatican City and Malta) and mix up Slovakia and Slovenia, or Latvia and Lithuania.
How is the score worked out?
Each country is worth one point on the first try, half a point on the second and a quarter on the third. Your score is the share of the maximum, so 100% means every country on the first try.
Can I zoom in on small countries?
Yes. Pinch on a phone or tablet, use the mouse wheel on a computer, or press the + button. Very small countries and island nations also get a round tap target so you can hit them without zooming.
Does the quiz save my progress?
Yes. Your current round is saved on this device, so you can close the page and carry on later. Your best score for each mode and round length is saved too.
