A quick math quiz for sharpening mental arithmetic. Pick an operation and a level, then answer as many sums as you can — the quiz tracks your score, accuracy and average time.
How to play Math Quiz
- Choose an operation — addition, subtraction, multiplication, division or a mixed set.
- Choose a level: Easy (numbers to 20 and small times tables), Medium (two-digit numbers and tables to 12 × 12) or Hard (three-digit sums and two-digit multiplying).
- Play 10 or 20 questions against the clock, or a 60-second sprint to answer as many as you can.
- Type each answer on the number pad. A wrong answer shows the correct one, then the next question appears.
- At the end you see your score, accuracy and average time per question, plus every fact you missed. Your best score for each setup is saved.
Controls
- Tap the on-screen number pad, or type digits on a keyboard.
- Backspace deletes a digit, Esc clears the answer, Enter checks it.
- A right answer is accepted as soon as you type it — no need to press OK.
Tips
- For addition, add the tens first and then the ones: 47 + 38 is 70 + 15 = 85.
- Turn subtraction into adding up: for 82 − 57, count up from 57 to 60 (3) and then to 82 (22) — the answer is 25.
- Division questions are times tables in reverse: 56 ÷ 8 asks “what times 8 makes 56?”
- Accuracy matters more than speed at first. Once you are getting nearly everything right, try the 60-second sprint.

Will division ever give a decimal or remainder?
No. Every division question is built from a multiplication fact, so the answer is always a whole number. Subtraction answers are never negative either.

Best scores are kept in your browser for each combination of operation, level and round length. Nothing is sent anywhere.
