Stripes, stars, crescents and crosses — can you tell which country each flag belongs to? This flags of the world quiz covers every region.
How to play Flag Quiz
- A flag appears on screen. Name the country it belongs to.
- Pick multiple choice (four options) or type the answer yourself.
- Filter by region — Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe or Oceania — or play the whole world.
- Play a round of 10 or 20 questions, or every country in the region. Your best score for each setup is saved.
- At the end, review the ones you missed and retry just those.
Controls
- Tap or click an answer, or press 1–4 on a keyboard.
- In type-in mode, type your answer and press Enter to check it.
- Press Enter (or tap Next question) to move on.
Tips
- Look at stripe order and direction: Ireland and Côte d’Ivoire use the same colors in reverse.
- Nordic crosses sit toward the hoist (the pole side); compare their colors to tell them apart.
- Chad and Romania, and Indonesia and Monaco, are almost identical — either answer counts.
FAQ
Why are some flags not included?
Each flag is drawn here from simple geometric shapes. Flags with detailed emblems, seals or lettering are left out instead of being shown inaccurately.
How strict is type-in mode?
It is forgiving: capital letters, accents and punctuation do not matter, common short names like "USA", "UK" or "Ivory Coast" are accepted, and a small typo in a longer name still counts as long as it is not the name of a different place.
