- Jump the gun while it is still red and you get Too soon! — that try is simply repeated.
- After five good tries you get your average, your fastest time and your slowest one.
- Your recent sessions are listed under the panel, and your best average is saved on this device.
Controls
- Tap / click the panel or press Space / Enter — start and react
- The Restart button clears the current set of tries
Tips
- Rest a finger on the screen or the Space bar so you only have to press, not move.
- Watch the whole panel rather than a single spot; the change is easier to notice.
- Times vary with your device and screen, so compare yourself on the same setup.
FAQ
What is a good reaction time?
Most people land somewhere around 200–300 ms for a simple visual signal like this. Anything under 200 ms is very quick.
Why does the wait change every time?
The pause is random, between about one and a half and five seconds, so you can’t learn the rhythm and press early.
