FAQ

Is this coin flip really random?

Yes. Each toss uses your browser’s built-in cryptographic random number source, so heads and tails each have exactly a 50% chance and no flip depends on the one before.

What are the odds of getting heads 5 times in a row?

One in 32, or about 3%. Each extra head in the run halves the chance: 10 in a row is about 1 in 1,024.

How does best of 5 work?

Heads and Tails each need three wins. The match ends as soon as one side gets there, so it can take three, four or five flips.

Why is my heads percentage not exactly 50%?

Short runs wobble a lot. The more you flip, the closer the split gets to 50/50. Try the 1,000-flip button to see it.
