Roll Ball: A Skee Ball Style Game
A skee ball style alley rolling game you can play in the browser. Swipe the ball up the lane, let it hop off the ramp, and aim for the small rings and corner pockets for the biggest scores.
How to play Roll Ball
- You get nine balls per game. Swipe up from the bottom of the lane to roll each one.
- How fast you swipe sets the power. A soft roll lands low on the board, a hard roll lands high. Too soft and the ball never clears the ramp and scores nothing.
- The direction of your swipe sets the angle. The ball starts where your swipe starts, and it bounces off the side rails.
- Where the ball lands decides the score: the outer area and front trough are 10, then the rings score 20, 30 and 40, and the small center hole scores 50.
- Two small pockets in the top corners score 100 each. They need a strong, angled roll.
- Rolls that fly off the back or the sides of the board drop into the 10 trough. Add up all nine balls for your final score.
Controls
- Touch or mouse: press near the bottom of the lane and flick upward, then let go. Flick left or right to angle the roll.
- Keyboard: Left/Right move the ball across the lane, A/D (or Up/Down) angle the roll, hold Space to charge the power meter and release to roll.
- P or Esc pauses.
Tips
- Find a swipe speed that reliably lands in the 50 hole and repeat it. Consistency beats big swings.
- The 100 pockets are worth the risk only when you can hit them often; a miss usually drops to 10.
- Start the ball in the middle of the lane and swipe straight up to aim at the center rings.
- On Easy the rings and pockets are bigger, which is a good way to learn the power.
FAQ
How do you play skee ball style games like Roll Ball?
Roll a ball up a sloped lane so it jumps a small ramp and lands in a ring on the target board. Smaller, harder rings score more points. Nine balls make one game.
What is a good score?
Every ball in the 10 area gives 90. Around 250 is solid, 350 is very good, and a perfect run of 50s scores 450. Mixing in 100 pockets can push it even higher.
Why did my ball roll back?
The swipe was too slow, so the ball did not have enough speed to clear the ramp. That ball scores zero.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Move the ball with Left and Right, set the angle with A and D, then hold Space to charge the power and release to roll.
Is my game saved?
Yes. A game in progress resumes after a reload, and your best score for each level is kept in this browser.
