Rock Blaster
Your little ship drifts through a field of tumbling rocks. Shoot them apart, keep your momentum under control, and watch out for the saucer that drops in to take shots at you. A free asteroid shooter in the spirit of the arcade classics.
How to play Rock Blaster
- Turn your ship, thrust to move, and fire to break rocks. Your ship keeps drifting after you let go of thrust, so plan your stops.
- Large rocks split into two medium rocks, and medium rocks split into two small ones. Small rocks are destroyed. Smaller pieces are faster but worth more points.
- Everything wraps around: fly off one edge and you reappear on the opposite side. Shots and rocks wrap too.
- From wave 2, a saucer sometimes flies across and fires at you. Shoot it for a big bonus.
- Touching a rock, the saucer or its shots costs a ship. After respawning you are protected for a moment (the ring around your ship).
- Clear every rock to start the next wave, with more and faster rocks. You earn an extra ship every 10,000 points.
Controls
- Keyboard: Left/Right or A/D to turn, Up or W to thrust, Space (or K) to fire — hold it for steady fire. P or Esc pauses.
- Touch: on-screen buttons appear at the bottom: turn left and right on the left side, thrust and fire on the right. You can press several at once.
- Use Touch controls in the toolbar to show or hide the buttons.
Tips
- Short taps of thrust keep you in control; full speed makes it easy to fly into a rock.
- Break one big rock at a time. Splitting them all at once fills the screen with fast pieces.
- Staying near the middle gives you time to react to rocks wrapping in from any edge.
