Chimp Test
Inspired by famous studies where young chimpanzees outperformed people at remembering where numbers were on a screen. Look at the numbers, tap 1, and then find the rest in order from memory.
How to play Chimp Test
- Press Start. Numbers from 1 upward appear in random squares on the grid.
- Tap 1 first. As soon as you do, all the other numbers turn into blank tiles.
- Tap the tiles in order, 2, 3, 4… using your memory of where each number was.
- Finish the round and the next one has one more number. A wrong tap is a strike, and you replay that length with a new layout.
- Three strikes end the test. Your score is the most numbers you completed in one round. It starts at 4.
Controls
- Tap / click the tiles
Tips
- Before tapping 1, trace a path through all the numbers with your eyes.
- Remember the route as a shape, not a list of positions.
- Take your time before the first tap: the clock does not run.
