Spider Solitaire (1 Suit)
The gentlest form of Spider: every card is a spade, so any card one rank lower fits and runs come together quickly. Perfect for learning the game or a calm break.
How to play Spider Solitaire (1 Suit)
- Two decks are dealt into ten columns: 54 cards to start, with only the bottom card of each column face up. The other 50 cards wait in the stock (top right).
- Move a card onto any card one rank higher, regardless of suit — a 7 on an 8, a Queen on a King.
- A group of cards can be moved together only if it is a run in one suit in descending order (for example 9♠ 8♠ 7♠).
- Any card or suit run can go into an empty column.
- Build a full run from King down to Ace in a single suit and it is removed from the table automatically. Remove all eight runs to win.
- Tap the stock (or Deal) to deal one new card onto every column. You can only deal when no column is empty.
- Scoring: you start with 500 points, lose 1 point per move or deal, and earn 100 points for every completed run.
Controls
- Drag a card or suit run onto another column, or tap it to send it to the best spot (matching suit first).
- Keyboard: D or Space deals, U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, N starts a new game.
Tips
- With one suit, every rank match is also a suit match — so build long runs freely.
- Empty columns are your most powerful tool: use them to reorder runs and uncover face-down cards.
- Before dealing a new row, tidy up so that the new cards land on as few useful runs as possible.
FAQ
Why can't I deal a new row?
Every column needs at least one card before you can deal. Move any card or run into the empty column first.
Is there a limit on undo?
No — you can undo every move in the current game, including deals from the stock.
