Spider Solitaire (4 Suits)
The expert version of Spider uses all four suits from two full decks. Winning takes patience, careful sorting and smart use of every empty column.
How to play Spider Solitaire (4 Suits)
- Two decks are dealt into ten columns: 54 cards to start, with only the bottom card of each column face up. The other 50 cards wait in the stock (top right).
- Move a card onto any card one rank higher, regardless of suit — a 7 on an 8, a Queen on a King.
- A group of cards can be moved together only if it is a run in one suit in descending order (for example 9♠ 8♠ 7♠).
- Any card or suit run can go into an empty column.
- Build a full run from King down to Ace in a single suit and it is removed from the table automatically. Remove all eight runs to win.
- Tap the stock (or Deal) to deal one new card onto every column. You can only deal when no column is empty.
- Scoring: you start with 500 points, lose 1 point per move or deal, and earn 100 points for every completed run.
Controls
- Drag a card or suit run onto another column, or tap it to send it to the best spot (matching suit first).
- Keyboard: D or Space deals, U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, N starts a new game.
Tips
- Uncovering face-down cards early is vital — you need information before the stock runs dry.
- Avoid burying low cards under mixed stacks; Aces and 2s are hard to rescue.
- Use Undo freely to explore. Many four-suit deals are won only by trying a few different lines.
FAQ
Why can't I deal a new row?
Every column needs at least one card before you can deal. Move any card or run into the empty column first.
Is there a limit on undo?
No — you can undo every move in the current game, including deals from the stock.
