Word Grid
Every round rolls a fresh grid of letter dice. Chain neighboring letters together to spell as many words as you can before the three-minute timer runs out.
How to play Word Grid
- Press Start to reveal the grid and start the three-minute clock.
- Build a word by moving from letter to letter. Each step can go to any of the eight neighbors — up, down, sideways or diagonal — and each letter can be used only once per word.
- Words must be at least three letters long and found in the dictionary. Each word counts once.
- Longer words are worth much more: 3 letters = 1 point, 4 = 2, 5 = 3, 6 = 5, 7 = 8 and 8 or more = 12.
- When time runs out you will see your score and a list of common words you missed.
Controls
- Drag across letters with a finger or the mouse and let go to submit.
- Or tap letters one by one and tap the last letter again to submit.
- Or simply type the word on your keyboard and press Enter. Esc clears.
Tips
- Spot a short word, then look for ways to grow it: add -S, -ED, -ER or -ING if those letters are nearby.
- The Qu tile counts as two letters and fits words like QUIT and QUEEN.
- On the 5×5 grid, hunt for longer words — a single seven-letter word is worth as much as eight three-letter ones.
