Word Hive
Seven letters bloom in a flower. Spell as many words as you can, always using the letter in the middle, and climb from Seed all the way to Full Garden.
How to play Word Hive
- Make words of at least four letters using the seven letters in the flower. Letters can be used more than once.
- Every word must include the center letter.
- Four-letter words are worth 1 point. Longer words earn 1 point per letter.
- Each puzzle has at least one full-flower word that uses all seven letters. It earns 7 bonus points.
- Your rank grows as your score does. Reach Bloom to count the daily puzzle as solved, then keep going for Full Garden.
Controls
- Tap or click the petals, or type on your keyboard.
- Enter submits, Backspace deletes, Space shuffles the outer petals.
Tips
- Shuffle when you get stuck — new neighbors suggest new words.
- Look for common endings that fit the letters, like -ING, -ED, -ER or -TION.
- Once you find one word, try reusing letters: a word like TOOT or ADDED is fine because letters can repeat.
- The full-flower word is often a longer everyday word. Try building it from the rarest letter outward.
FAQ
Why did a real word give me no points?
Points come from our own list of common everyday words. Rarer words from the big dictionary are still accepted and shown as extra words, but they do not change your score, so every puzzle has a fair, reachable maximum.
When does a new puzzle appear?
A new daily puzzle starts at midnight in your time zone. You can also play random puzzles any time, and check yesterday's word list to see what you missed.
What are the ranks?
Seed, Sprout, Seedling, Bud, Petal, Blossom, Bloom, Bouquet, Garden and Full Garden. Each one is a share of the points available in that puzzle; tap Ranks to see the exact targets.
