Daily Diagonal Sudoku
A fresh Sudoku X grid every day, identical for every player. Fill rows, columns, boxes and both long diagonals, then keep your daily streak going and compare times with friends.
How to play Daily Diagonal Sudoku
- Everyone gets the same daily grid. It changes at midnight on your device’s clock, and you get one attempt per day; your progress is saved if you leave and come back.
- Fill the 9×9 grid so that every row, every column and every bold 3×3 box contains the digits 1 to 9 once each.
- The two long diagonals, shaded and marked with a thin line, must also contain each digit 1 to 9 exactly once.
- Tap a square, then a number (or type it). Use Notes to pencil in candidates. Finish the grid to extend your streak and share your result.
Controls
- Arrow keys: move 1–9: enter a digit Shift + 1–9: toggle a note
- N: notes mode Backspace / 0: erase Z: undo H: hint
Tips
- The daily grid is gentler early in the week and hardest at the weekend.
- Check the centre square early: it sits on both diagonals, so it has the fewest options.
- Solve without hints if you want a time worth sharing.
- Finished today’s grid? Pick Easy, Medium or Hard from the menu for unlimited practice.
FAQ
When does the daily diagonal sudoku reset?
A new grid appears at midnight on your own device’s clock. Everyone playing on the same calendar date gets the same puzzle, and you get one attempt at it per day.
What is the diagonal rule?
On top of the normal Sudoku rules, both long diagonals (top-left to bottom-right and top-right to bottom-left) must each contain the digits 1 to 9 exactly once.
How do daily streaks work?
Your streak counts the consecutive days on which you solved the daily grid. Miss a day and it starts again from one; your best streak is kept in this browser.
