Block Puzzle
A calm, no-timer puzzle about making room. Drop three pieces at a time onto the grid, complete whole rows or columns to clear them, and keep going as long as there is space.
How to play Block Puzzle
- You get three pieces in the tray below the board. Drag any of them onto the grid — a shaded preview shows exactly where it will land.
- Pieces cannot be rotated, so plan where each shape fits best.
- Fill an entire row or column to clear it. Rows and columns that clear at the same time score extra.
- Clear lines on consecutive placements to build a combo: each clear in the streak multiplies its line bonus. Placing a piece without a clear ends the streak.
- When all three pieces are used, a fresh set appears. The game ends when none of the pieces left in the tray fits anywhere.
Controls
- Drag a piece from the tray to the board (on touch screens it floats above your finger so you can see the spot).
- Or tap a piece, then tap where its center should go.
- Keyboard: 1–3 pick a piece, arrow keys move it, Enter places it, Esc cancels.
Tips
- Keep a 3×3 space open for the big square and long bars — they are the hardest pieces to fit late in a game.
- Work on several rows and columns that cross each other; one well-placed piece can then clear two or three lines at once.
- Pieces you cannot place right now are dimmed in the tray. Use the others first.
- Wiping the whole board clean earns a 300 point bonus.
FAQ
How is the score calculated?
Every block you place is worth 1 point. Clearing lines adds 10 for one line, 30 for two, 60 for three and so on, multiplied by your current combo streak.
Does the game get faster?
No. There is no timer and nothing falls — take as long as you like over every move.
Will I lose my game if I close the page?
No. The board, tray and score are saved in this browser and restored the next time you visit.
