2048 Cupcakes
The classic 2048 puzzle with a bakery twist. Each tile is a cupcake, and every time two identical cupcakes collide they become a fancier dessert worth double, from a plain vanilla 2 to a crowned golden 2048 cupcake.
How to play 2048 Cupcakes
- Swipe on the board, or press the arrow keys or W A S D, to slide every cupcake as far as it can go.
- Two touching cupcakes of the same kind merge into the next dessert on the ladder: vanilla (2), strawberry (4), chocolate (8), mint sprinkle (16) and so on. The small badge on each tile shows its number.
- After each move a new vanilla (2) or strawberry (4) cupcake appears in an empty square.
- Your score grows by the number of every merged tile. Bake the golden crown 2048 cupcake to win, then keep going if you like.
- The game ends when the board is full and no neighbouring cupcakes match.
Controls
- Swipe or arrow keys / WASD: slide tiles
- U or Ctrl+Z: undo one move (when undo is on)
Tips
- Pick a corner and keep your biggest tile parked there. Most strong games only ever use three of the four directions.
- Build a descending chain along one edge (for example 256, 128, 64, 32) so merges roll toward the corner like dominoes.
- Avoid the move that pulls your big tile out of its corner unless you have no other choice.
- Bigger boards are more forgiving; 3×3 is a tense challenge where reaching 256 counts as a win.
FAQ
Is 2048 Cupcakes different from regular 2048?
The rules are identical. Only the tiles change: each value is drawn as its own cupcake, so you can play by picture or by the number badge. Your cupcake games and best scores are saved separately from the number version.
What is the highest cupcake in 2048 Cupcakes?
The golden crown cupcake is 2048. If you keep playing past it, the next merge bakes a sparkling celebration cupcake worth 4096.
