Maze Game
Every maze here is generated on the spot, so there is always a new one to solve. Steer the dot from the top-left entrance to the star at the bottom right — there is exactly one true path.
How to play Maze Game
- Start in the top-left corner and reach the ★ exit in the bottom-right corner.
- You cannot pass through walls. Each maze has exactly one route between the entrance and the exit, with plenty of dead ends to tempt you.
- Your path is drawn behind you; walk back over it and it rubs itself out, so the line always shows your current route.
- Choose a size from Easy 10×10 to Expert 36×36, or play the Daily maze that everyone gets today.
- The clock starts with your first move. Use Show path if you are truly stuck — but that solve will not count as a best time.
Controls
- Arrow keys / WASD: one step Shift + arrow: run to the next junction
- Swipe on the maze to run down a corridor, or drag the dot along the paths. Tap a square in a straight line to move there.
Tips
- Wall follower: keep one hand on the same wall (always the left or always the right) and you will reach the exit of any of these mazes.
- Work backwards: trace a short way from the exit first, then look for that corridor from the start.
- Swiping runs to the next fork, which makes big mazes much quicker on a phone.
- “Many short branches” mazes have lots of tiny dead ends; “Long winding paths” have fewer, longer ones.
FAQ
How do you solve a maze?
The simplest reliable method is the wall follower: put one hand on a wall at the entrance and keep it there as you walk. In a maze with no loops, like ours, it always leads to the exit. Faster solvers scan for dead ends and rule them out.
Is every maze solvable?
Yes. Our generator builds “perfect” mazes, which means every square is connected and there is exactly one path between any two squares — including the start and the exit.
Can I print a maze?
Yes. Press Print to print the maze you are playing with an answer key, or open the maze generator to choose any size and title.
Is there a daily maze?
Yes. Choose Daily maze from the size menu for a 20×20 maze that is the same for everyone today, and share your time.
