Printable Maze Generator
Make as many mazes as you like for classrooms, party bags or a quiet afternoon. Pick a size, add a title, and print it with a separate answer key — every maze is unique and has exactly one solution.
How to play Printable Maze Generator
- Pick a preset or type a width and height in squares (4 to 60 wide, 4 to 80 tall).
- Choose a style: long winding paths feel like a classic labyrinth; many short branches give lots of little dead ends.
- Press New maze until you like the look, then Print. Tick the answer key option to add a second page with the solution drawn in.
- Use Download SVG to save a sharp, scalable copy for worksheets, or Play it here to solve it on screen.
Controls
- Tap the buttons to generate, print or download. Width and height update as soon as you change them.
Tips
- For young children, try 6×8 or 10×12. Older kids and adults enjoy 25×33 and up.
- A tall maze (more rows than columns) fills a portrait sheet of paper best.
- Put the child’s name or a theme in the title box — it is printed above the maze.
FAQ
Are these mazes free to print?
Yes. Every maze is generated by our own code in your browser, so you can print as many as you like for home or classroom use.
Does every printable maze have a solution?
Yes, exactly one. The generator builds a maze where every square is connected and no loops exist, so there is a single path from the entrance arrow to the exit arrow.
How do I print the answer key?
Keep “Print an answer key page” ticked. The solution is printed in red on a second page so you can hand out the maze on its own.
What is the biggest maze I can make?
60 squares wide by 80 tall. Very large mazes print with small squares, so they are best for adults or for printing on large paper.
